Bullet-based Arch-guns, especially when wielded by Warframes as "heavy weapons", don't leave the mark on the battlefield that they look like they should. Arch-guns need to be more than just primary weapons that don't suck, and I think the answer is pretty clear when we look at the current top Arch-guns. Most of the time when people throw out re-balancing for weapons they pull the numbers out of their rear. My changes look to be more conservative and preserve/reinforce what I perceive the identity of the gun to be. You could also just as easily use 60/60 dual stats, but we're looking at this with a comparative lens, not an absolute difference one, so that has little impact. I do not think DPS is the be all end all metric for guns, but its a convenient metric for comparison. Please note that the main purpose of this number is to compare current versions with proposed buffs. charged Velocitus shots probably want Shell Rush for a better feel even though another 120% elemental would be more DPS. This results in the "best" build, insofar as the metric is to maximize DPS while keeping in mind the handling of the gun. Some builds forgo Automatic Trigger for Shell Rush or another 120% elemental. With that said, all the following DPS numbers use the following build: Primed Rubedo-Lined Barrel, Dual Rounds, Parallax Scope, Hollowed Bullets, Critical Focus, Automatic Trigger, 120% Elemental, and 120% Elemental. Most of the blame can be placed on mods, but as I understand it, archguns where meant to move away from high bonuses on mods and focus more on good base stats, so as to help bridge the gap between unmodded and fully modded damage output. They're supposed to be powerful weapons, but many of the older ones fall a bit short of the feel. As it stands, many archguns are mildly underwhelming.
